Listen to BTS: I Was Triggered & Spiraling… So I Hit Record on:
In this episode, I do something a little different. Instead of following the script I had planned, I hit record in the middle of a frustrating day because I knew I wasn’t the only one who feels like everything is falling apart sometimes. If you’ve ever found yourself overwhelmed, emotionally triggered, or wondering how you’re supposed to keep showing up when nothing is going your way, this conversation is a reminder that you’re not alone and that you don’t have to pretend you have it all together.
I share what was happening behind the scenes that day and walk you through the tools I use to calm my nervous system and process difficult emotions in real time. I talk about breathwork, finding moments of quiet, asking better questions, processing emotions out loud, and leaning on community instead of carrying everything alone. Most importantly, I hope this episode gives you permission to be honest about what you’re feeling and reminds you that emotions are signals worth listening to, not something you have to ignore or push through.
In this episode, BTS: I Was Triggered & Spiraling… So I Hit Record, I cover:
- What to do when everything seems to go wrong at once
- How I calm my nervous system during overwhelming moments
- Why emotions are signals instead of something to suppress
- Simple ways to process stress, including breathwork and talking it out
- The importance of finding people who can listen without trying to fix you
- Questions to help you understand what your emotions are telling you
- Why authentic leadership starts with being honest about your own struggles
