Listen to 3 Ways to Stop Worrying About Tomorrow and Start Living Today on:

In this episode, I challenge you to consider how much of your life you’re actually experiencing when your mind is stuck in yesterday or tomorrow. We all have things worth planning for, preparing for, and reflecting on, but when planning becomes worrying and reflection becomes rumination, we can miss the only moment we actually have. If you’ve ever spent a Sunday worrying about Monday, replayed a difficult conversation, or found yourself physically present but mentally somewhere else, this episode will help you come back to today.

I share three simple ways to stop letting stress steal the present: getting into the present, getting what’s on your mind out of your head, and getting support when you need it. I talk about grounding yourself in what’s happening around you, using a brain dump to free up mental space, and finding someone who can simply listen when you need to talk something through. Most importantly, I challenge the difference between being prepared and being preoccupied, because you can prepare for tomorrow without letting preparation cost you your presence.

In this episode, 3 Ways to Stop Worrying About Tomorrow and Start Living Today, I cover:

  • Why planning can become worrying and reflection can become rumination
  • How to ground yourself in the present when your mind is somewhere else
  • Using a brain dump to get thoughts out of your head and create mental space
  • How to decide what needs action now and what can wait
  • Why you can care about something without thinking about it constantly
  • When talking to someone can help you process what you’re carrying
  • The difference between being prepared and being preoccupied
